Repairing a Riparian Farm

I’m actually going to start blogging about all this.

What is “this?”

It’s life on a farm that has been left fallow for more than a decade.  How does she bring it back and keep her sanity?

2011 starts my 5th year of working, breathing and living this riparian life.  A life that is shedding all the clogged up bramble that had been accumulating in my head, in my possessions, in me, and on my farm.  It is all difficult, but  definitely chosen.  It is all painful, but sorely needed.  It is sometimes refreshing, and so very welcomed.  And it is excruciatingly hard, but also relaxing.

What will you get here?  Hopeful and laugh or two. I firmly believe in being HAPPY.  And maybe an insight into why there’s an entire group of this 40-50-something generation moving ‘back to’ or doing an ‘initial connection’ to the land. Maybe we can share and idea or two about our goals.  Possibly I can just vent and then go back and delete stated venting so I don’t look like the total fool I sometimes feel I am.

So, with that dribble out there, let’s get started on our day!
